- Available Sep 2, 2024 at 12am - Sep 8, 2024 at 11:59pm
This week's discussion is about the physical and psychological impacts of stress on the mind and body. Remember to break your writing into parts with headings and address the following questions.
Part 1
Watch the first video on "How Stress Affects Your Body" and detail two ways you see stress taking its toll on you and your family/community. What principles from the video do you see showing up, and what are some psychological destressing techniques you can employ to help dissipate the impacts of these stressors? Watch the following video to help answer this question and any other outside sources. Hint, the answer isn't playing video games or watching TV.
Part 2
Watch the second video on "How to fix the exhausted brain" by Brady Wilson, and answer the following questions.
- What experience have you had similar to Paula's? Explain it and detail what symptoms you were showing, similar to Paula.
- In that situation, what matters most to you then? Reference the "What matters most?" portion of Brady's talk.
- How do you know this area mattered most to you? What adjectives or verbs that Brady introduced in this section apply to you? What other descriptors would you use to evidence your motivational state?
- Does this experience align with what typically "matters most to you?" If so, how? If not, why? Where do you think this priority came from for you?
- How do you typically do at the "auto-biographical" form of empathy presented by Brady? Give an example of your work in this area within your social network. Be careful not just to give a glowing example but an authentic one.
- How can you improve your autobiographical responses to others?
Part 3
Thoughtfully reply to two of your classmates' posts using the parameters listed at the beginning of this assignment.
- Add potentially different research designs or challenges the writer did not consider previously.
