Chapter 8 discusses the roles and responsibilities of various support positions and the facilities that help the fire department function so that field personnel can conduct emergency and non-emergency operations. Students will need to select one of the following support positions that they would be interest in as a possible career:
Emergency 911 dispatcher
Arson fire investigator
Hazardous materials specialist
Students will need to discuss why they selected a particular support position, education/training required for the position and the possible challenges the position will encounter. Students must post a minimum of 250 words for this posting.
You must reply to at least two of your classmates postings. A minimum of five sentences are required per reply. Students will have 24 hours after the discussion due date to post peer reviews.
