Chapter 9 Discussion Post

Chapter 9 discusses the different types of training fire fighters can expect to receive over the course of their careers. It also discusses the personnel and positions that make up a training bureau, the value and importance of training in the fire service, how adequate training levels and performance standards are determined, and the importance of safety in training.

Students will need to discuss the potential impacts that a fire department will sustain if the fire chief has been directed to drastically cut the training budget. Students will need to address the potential outcomes of this decision and how it will affect the operations of the fire department in the long run. Your response will need to also identify possible alternatives to this issue. Students must post a minimum of 250 words for this posting.
