Blog - Jay's QuickStart Guide
Jay's Note: Whenever I get real down and depressed, I try to write what I feel. It's not very complicated or sophisticated. I just type and type and type until the sadness goes away. When I began to think of an appropriate title for a blog, I came up with "Stop Your Sobbing Blog." I think it will work.
Estimados Estudiantes,
This semester you will be required to maintain a writing blog. I will ask you to publish six posts that reflect your best writing.
Each post should have the following:
a. An effective title - with appropriate capitalization
b. An appropriate image at the top
c. College-level, standards based writing - review your work with tutor! - At least 300 words.
(* You will also need a seventh post - Your homepage. Take the time to create something thoughtful and personal.)
I will grade you on your professional display.
Below I provide you with Jay's QuickStart Guide to getting started.
I took the time to create model student blog - Hissie Chrynde's "Stop Your Sobbing Blog."
I thought to myself, how would Hissie get started.
I practiced with a few posts. I created a "Stop Your Sobbing" homepage.
Please note: I inserted posts from my files that I have created in previous classes. It was quick and easy for me.
I suggest you COPY and PASTE writing from your class discussion board.
* Start with "Book Out of Your Past"
* Create a second post by using your best 300 words from your current essay assignment.
