This is a three unit course that will require you to commit nine hours a week to read, complete assignments, and take examinations. This class will be delivered entirely through CANVAS Learning Management System that is used at College of the Desert.
Students are required to participate in group discussions and respond to date specific postings. If you have never taken an online course before, your biggest challenge will be time management! I encourage students to begin assignments early to allow for questions and time to complete course work. It is my intention to grade assignments and discussion posts within 48-72 hours after the due date. Take a moment to ensure that you are ready to take this online class by visiting the college's Technology Needs for Online Courses Links to an external site..
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the class content in the CANVAS learning management system. Begin with the welcome letter located in ANNOUNCEMENTS folder to the left. Week 1 begins on Monday, August 28th. Students that have not logged into Canvas and completed the video Self-Introduction video by September 1st, 2023 will be dropped from the course.
