CHAPTER 2 OVERVIEW

This chapter discusses the wide variety of firefighting and fire service–related careers available in the modern service, including public fire service careers, civilian positions in the fire service, and fire protection careers in the private sector.

Assignments

1. Read Chapter 2 in your text
2. Review Chapter 2 PowerPoint 
3. Prepare a resume and cover letter as if you are submitting it to the Palm Springs Fire Department. We will assume that all of you have completed a fire academy and are paramedics for this assignment.
4. Complete optional Extra Credit by assigned due date.
5. Complete Chapter 2 online Quiz in CANVAS. 
6. Start planning for your presentations!!!! I will be making presentation assignments next class meeting.
7. Respond to Discussion Post.
