Are You Ready to Be an Online Student?
Before 2020, most students took an online class because it fit with their work schedule or family life. However, I know that this semester many of you may be taking an online class because that is ALL that is available! And that is ok! We will work together so that you can succeed in this course but it takes both of us to make this happen! I am a really good teacher with a very organized course, but if you check out for 3 weeks, it doesn't matter how great I am, you will not be successful in this course!
Since March 2020, I have also been a full-time online student, and even though I have over 5 years of online teaching experience, it is still very, very hard to be an online student! You need to be self-disciplined and a strong independent worker to do well online. And you need to ask questions when you have them and ask for help if you need it!
Spend some time reviewing these Online Student Readiness Tutorials Links to an external site. and using the tools to help you assess your technical skills and the world of online learning.
