Permit Advising

In October I recorded a Permit Advising workshop. You can view that here.  Links to an external site.

I also created a Google Doc Links to an external site. with the steps to apply.

Just a quick note:

The very first level of the permit is an assistant teacher and requires no experience. If you are not currently working with children, or don't have any experience with children, this is the best level to apply for now.

The next level, the associate teacher requires 50 days of three or more hours per day of experience. If you have experience and have 12 units that would be the level you should apply for.

Apply for the level that is highest you qualify for. If you are very close to the next level ( for example if at the end of this semester you will be able to move to the next level), wait and apply for that level. You can only use CDTC funding once per academic year.
