Your text states that we plan curriculum that reflects our vision for children, for society, and for the future. What do you think she means by that? How will you ensure that the curriculum you plan creates democratic citizens? future scientists? future coders? scholars?
One of the things I always asked myself about my curriculum and interactions with children, am I working to create an adult who I would want to live next door to me in the future? Or better yet, marry into my family?
It colors everything you do with children. What will you do to make the future better?
Returning to our Harry Potter Theme, remember the search for a defense against the dark arts teacher? They were trying to prepare the children for the future and the return of Voldemort. What is the future you are preparing the children for?
