Week Seven Tasks

In week seven we will:

• Read the chapter on Observation, Documentation, and Assessment  
• Read the Preschool Program Guidelines Part 3 - Guideline 7 Assessing Children's Development and Learning pages 161-168 and view a video about this guideline. 
• Discuss how observation and assessment go hand in hand. 
• Reflect on the role of observations and assessments in a quality program. 
• Begin the What a Preschool Could Be...  assignment, it will be due on October 30th. 
• Begin the  Compare and Contrast Professional Paths. it will be due on November 13th.

By the end of this week students will: 

• Judge the effectiveness of testing for appropriate assessment of young children. 
• Explain how to use the Desired Results Developmental Profile for assessing children's growth and development. .
