Amassing a body of work or building a career is a lot about the slow accumulation of little bits of effort over time.
Writing a page each day doesn’t seem like much, but do it for 365 days and you have enough to fill a novel. One successful client pitch is a small victory, but a few dozen of them can get you a promotion.
Use your smart device to keep track of goals, appointments and plan ahead is fine.
Personally, I also use a coiled notebook style annual calendar that I can take notes plan ahead and I use it for a mouse pad. I fold it open to the current week and if I am on the phone I can jot down notes during the conversation. It serves as a daily journal of wwhat I have accomplished and who I spoke with and where I went. At the end of the year I archive it for my taxes and save it for seven years. Its something that has worked for me for many years. Later, I transfer important reminders to my smart device and I create alerts.
A wall calendar can shows you the whole year. Then, you break your goal/work into daily chunks. Each day, when you’re finished with your work, make a big fat X in the day’s box. Every day, instead of just getting work done, your goal is to just fill a box. Just keep at it and the chain will grow longer every day. You’ll like seeing that chain, especially when you get a few weeks under your belt. Your only job next is to not break the chain.”
Submit a photo of the calendar/planner you got even if it is digital by the due date.
