To become an Adobe Certified Professional, find the certification that’s right for you and prepare to validate your skills through a cutting-edge, live-in-the-app exam. Then choose to either schedule an online exam directly through your instructor. COD is a Certiport Authorized Testing Center.

Practice tests and training with Gmetrix

This part can be done wherever you have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud and can download the Gmetrix plug-in.

  1. Create a Gmetrix Links to an external site. account.
  2. Practice using gmetrix training and practice testing interface.
  3. When choosing an exam you would like to take first –– best to do the one you are most familiar with first.
  4. Unlike my quizzes, you are NOT permitted to use your book, internet or your neighbor. I suggest you make a mental note of the areas you need to practice on before taking the certification exam. 
  5. Sign onto gmetrix.com as a new user. 
  6. Let me know which test and email account you used to log in.
  7. I will assign you a voucher number to input when you are ready to take the practice test. 
  8. Remember, the test is timed at approximately 60 minutes.
  9. Let me know when you are done and how well you did. 

Taking the ACA Exam with Certiport

This part is only available in our classroom and it is free to students. 

  1. Create a Certiport Links to an external site. account.
  2. It will be proctored and you are NOT permitted to use your book, internet or your neighbor.
  3. When taking the exams during class you will need to be seated where I can see you. The use of phones, recording devices, pens/pencils/markers and paper are prohibited. Any violation of cheating will be reported and dealt with in accordance with campus procedures. 
  4. Exams will be available to take after lecture and 90 minutes before the end of class. Procedure may be different for other classes. 
  5. If you do not pass the certification exam, you will need to go back and study before taking it again. For every exam you pass you will receive a certificate and an ACA badge to upload to your linked in account plus you will be awarded 10 points extra credit.

Practice and certification exams are available for the following Adobe software:

  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Flash
  • Premiere
  • Dreamweaver
