Attendance

But it’s an online class; how do you have attendance?

Even though this course is online, you still have to be present “in” class regularly. I expect you to participate every week in the Discussion Board and also email me regularly. If you do not participate in the class for two weeks (by participate, I mean post work, do quizzes, submit assignments) and I don’t hear from you, you will be dropped.

COD's official “Drop Policy ” for online courses provides more details. If you do not complete the “Check-In” activity posted in the schedule, you will be considered a no-show and dropped. Just logging in and reading the syllabus is not the check-in.

If you do not complete the first unit assignment, you will be considered a no-show and will be dropped. 

Ultimately, actively participating is your responsibility.
