How to Add Images

One of the first week assignments is to post a picture of yourself in the Introduction Discussion Forum.

Throughout the semester, I will be having you insert images (rather than attach files) so this activity will be good practice for you.

Steps to Upload Files

1. Click Account (the photo of yourself in the round border) located on the far left side. It’s right above the Dashboard icon.
2. Click files
3. Use the upload button on the far right. Once your file is uploaded, return to the discussion you’re wanting to upload it to and choose the image to upload.

How to embed an image in your discussion post:

  1. Open the discussion by clicking on the discussion title.
  2. Create a new discussion entry by clicking the Reply text field.
  3. Click the Image icon.

  4. Locate the image you want to embed. To embed an image from the web, click the URL button [1]. To embed an image from your Canvas files, click the Canvas button [2]. To embed an image from Flickr, click the Flickr button [3].

  5. When you have located the image, click the Update button.
  6. Click the Post Reply button.
  7. View your post to make sure the image is correctly displayed within your post.

To proceed through the modules, you can use the Next button, which is always located near the lower right hand corner of the page.
