Practice Video

Video tape yourself waving to the instructor and send.  This is just to be sure you know how to send a video and the teacher receives it.

BE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE CAMERA SO YOUR FULL SIGNING SPACE IS IN VIEW (from slightly above your head to slightly below your waist - SEE VIDEO).

Follow the instructions below:

Open Canvas student app. 

Open ASL I class. 

Click on ASSIGNMENTS tab.

Click on the PRACTICE VIDEO assignment. 

Click on SUBMISSIONS AND RUBRICS.

Click on SUBMIT ASSIGNMENT.

You have two options: Media recording and File Upload.

If you choose Media Recording, you record yourself and send.

1 - MEDIA - click RECORD / UPLOAD MEDIA (preferred method)

create your recording right in canvas, then click SAVE

then click SUBMIT ASSIGNMENT

If you choose File Upload, you attach a previously recorded video and send.

2 - FILE UPLOAD - click CHOOSE FILE and attach your own file, click SUBMIT ASSIGNMENT 

NOTE: In the past, some students have needed to try multiple times.  This could be due to internet service or other reasons.  Do not give up.
