About Me

  • My name is William Blais and I was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.  In 1997 I moved west to Palm Springs, CA.  My ASL education began in 2007 at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, Ca.  After earning 18 credits in ASL and completing other classes, I earned my A.A. in Liberal Arts in 2010.  From there I transferred to the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley where I completed another 12 credits of ASL.  In January 2012 I was accepted into the Deaf Studies program at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. and on May 17, 2013, I graduated with a B.A. in Deaf Studies.
  • For six years (2009-2015) I worked as an ASL tutor at College of the Desert and I began teaching ASL in the fall of 2015.  I currently work at College of the Desert and previously worked at Copper Mountain Community College in Joshua Tree, CA.
