Discussion 2 Instructions (Start Here)

Purpose:

Begin a dialogue regarding personal struggles with online learning and begin to develop online learning skills in multiple areas: online communication, building relationships online, class work creation & submission, and discussion board posts. Students will also have an opportunity to validate and be validated by peers to help with feelings of isolation.

Due Dates:

  1. Initial Posts to the Question Prompts: 9/4/20 by midnight
  2. Comments on two peers' posts: 9/6/20 by midnight

Instruction:

You will be answering two prompts for your initial posts, and then you will comment on two different peers' posts. When you comment on another student's post, you should talk about how you relate to what they said or validate their feelings. Please steer clear of giving advice; however, you can talk about how you dealt with a similar situation or circumstance. You all have had more than your fair share of issues with online learning, and I want you all to start writing to each other about it.

Prompt 1: Talk about a particular difficult online learning situation that was difficult for you providing examples of the impact on you and what you did to cope with the situation.

Prompt 2: What types of online activities, discussions, demonstrations, or tasks would you prefer in this course based on how you learn best. Give examples of what has worked for you with online learning.
