Research supports that metacognition is one of the most effective way for student to improve their learning and make greater gains in what they are learning.  Metacognition captures a student's ability to analyze your thinking and choose the best strategies to for learning. 

Prepare

Write

Write 3 sentences that use the same word as a different part of speech.  Don't copy the sentences exactly from the website; rewrite your own unique sentences. (You may need to change the word slightly so it will work as a different part of speech!)

Example: 

Sleep is important for your health. (noun)

I sleep seven to nine hours a night. (verb)

That's a sleepy baby. (adjective)
