Estimados Estudiantes,
By the time you see this discussion board, we will have reviewed the basics of "How to Annotate."
For the best grade, submit your best annotations.
Jay's Tips:
* Choose an article with the most interesting historical idea.
* Look closely for the author's main idea - can you interpret it in the margins?
* Circle interesting vocabulary - will you want to define it in your essay? What does it mean? How does it add to your discussion?
* Please underline a key quotation - this might come from the author himself/herself or someone mentioned in the article.
* Make connections - do you see any comparison to what you are reading here with something that your readers may be more familiar with?
* Is there anything that affects you on a personal level - make a note! To bring up the connection will provide important dimension to your essay.
* What is the most important example the author uses to support his/her main idea? Do you agree with its significance? Do you disagree?
Here is what you do:
* Make at least six annotations on the page.
* Please follow the models and ideas listed above
* Submit a foto of your work in the space provided - I believe you will have to save it first in your CANVAS image file to upload. If you haven't done so already..
Go to CANVAS - Announcements - Jay's Tips: How to Create a Picture File in Your CANVAS Account
* Respond to the work of two of your clasmates.
I will grade your work based on your abiltiy to provide well-developed responses to your reading in the margins of your article.
This is going to be great. You will see.
Paz,
JL
